Previous electric bikes we've sold have been cumbersome and ugly affairs, which have required a disproportionate amount of workshop time to keep them on the road. We've been on the lookout for an affordable (believe us - this one's a good deal cheaper than previous models from Gazelle!) and practical electric bike. This bike only offers electric assistance when you pedal (no handlebar throttle). And it does so in a subtle and barely noticeable way. Switch off the assistance climbing a hill though, and you'll know how much help it was giving! An attractive and comfortable bike with fast rolling tyres and comfortable seating and steering geometry. This is the one we recommend!

Logical, because it gives you the support you need for a safer and easier ride. It gives you the freedom to travel further distances without breaking out in a sweat whether it be a ride to the supermarket or a bike ride of 50 kilometers, regardless of the slope, the headwind or the pace of your bicycle partner.

Electric bicycles are a great way for you to manage terrain that otherwise may put you off cycling. The hills and distances involved in some Australian cities are easily overcome with the help of an E-Bike. With electric assistance, the bicycle is very easy to ride and actually encourages you to use the bike more often because it is so much fun!

Invisible electric bikes.

Gazelle has designed the Innergy so that you do not see that it is a bike with electric power. That is thanks to a small battery under the luggage carrier and because the engine is eliminated in the front hub. What you see is one of the top models from the Gazelle collection, with only the best Gazelle parts being used.

 

 

Assistance when you need it.

In the controller is a special sensor that monitors when you apply pressure to the pedals. Once the pedlas are in motion, the Innergy system will give you assistance. When you stop cycling, the bike stops giving you assistance, meaning riding the Innergy is just like riding a normal bike, but with help when you need it! The display is easy to operate and clearly shows you the battery reserve and level of assistance. When it gets dark, turn the light on/off from the display. When operated, the display also has a back lights for the functions for viewing at night. Power settings can be chosen through the display computer at the touch of a button. Choose from Eco (maximum range), Normal or Boost (maximum power) mode depending on the terrain and your fitness level. Both settings can be tuned to the desired level at your Gazelle dealer.

 

 

The battery is good for thousands of carefree miles and is environmentally friendly.

The Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery is easily removable from the rear of the luggage carrier and can be charged on the bike at home with the included charger. The Li-Ion battery technology enables at least 600 full recharges and comes with a industry leading 2-Year warranty. The Orange Pure Innergy comes standard with a 'Silver Battery'. If you wish to purchase a 'Gold Battery' please add $299 to the price of the bike.

 

The Gazelle Innergy system has 3 choices of battery.

 

When the battery is removed, the Innergy is easy to mount on the bike rack of your car. We recommend the Thule 'EuroPower' when transporting the Orange Pure Innergy.

Li-Ion batteries do not contain metallic lithium and therefore are not an environmental risk. These batteries can be recycled by companies like MRI or you could find a recycle depot near you.

 

Cycling with safety first

Because the Innergy is powered through both the front (electric) and the rear (leg power) wheels, the bicycle is very stable, and gives you extra security in sharp bends and on loose surfaces, such as on gravel roads. The Innergy also has special anti-theft features. The Innergy has a AXA Defender RL-safety lock with chip. And the key lets you control both the bike and battery lock. Moreover, the battery can be custom programmed so that it works on your Innergy or that of your partner.
