These gloves are a thick glove when the inner and the outer gloves are worn together. They don't offer good "feel" for gear shifting etc. However, they can be an excellent touring glove as the inner glove (be warned - it's bright red!) is comfortable and warm in cool conditions, but is insufficient when it gets frosty. The outer glove which is windproof can be slipped over when things get too cold. Used this way they're a very versatile setup.
