Remove rim tape and install 1 or 2 layers of included Universal Kit Tape, pull the tape tightly while applying and overlap 2". Carefully cut a hole for the valve stem. Leave in your existing rim tape. For best results and easier inflating for Mavic 223, use two layers of 17mm Velox rim tape centered in the rim cavity. On the second layer of Velox tape leave a 1/2 inch opening on each side of the valve stem. This one inch opening will make inflating easier. |

| UST Tubeless Rims |
You can use the Standard Rim Strip in Mavic UST rims and Bontrager tubeless rims. You can add a single layer of 1/4"x1/8" foam weather stripping below the rim strip to improve the shape of the strip making inflation easier. |

With this disc only rim use one layer of 17mm Velox rim tape over the spoke holes. Then install the standard 26 inch rim strip over stretched. The Velox rim tape will fill in the center of the rim making the rim strip and the 29'er tire fit and inflate more easily. |
