Quill Stems

The quill stem is used with the traditional threaded fork. Not many bikes still use them. On this page we've listed all our quill stems which include shaft diameters of 21.1mm, 22.2mm & 25.4mm, and handlebar clamp diameters of 22.2mm & 25.4mm. Note that when talking of stem shaft diameters, 22.2mm means "1 inch", and 25.4mm means "oversized" or "1-1/8 inch". The reason for this apparent discrepancy is that the 1" or 1-1/8" refers to the fork's outer diameter and its thread, rather than to the inner diameter, which is what matches with the stem's shaft diameter.
