7-Speed Freewheels

7-speed freewheels appear on many entry-level mountainbikes. The freewheel includes the ratchet mechanism, and the complete unit screws onto the wheel. If your ratchet mechanism is attached to the hub, you'll need a cassette rather than a freewheel.
